Norris Lake - March 30, 2009

Buyers have started coming back to Norris Lake now that the weather is warmer. My weekends and many weekdays are spent showing off this jewel of a lake to folks who "ain't from 'round here". Although most people prefer to come to the lake during the warm summer months, the best time to look at property is before the trees fill with leaves and the brush and raspberry bushes grow up. Moderately sloped lots, for some reason, seem much more aggressively sloped and flat home sites are more obvious when they are not covered with growing things.

We always recommend that propspective buyers dress in layers, wear long pants and sturdy shoes.  Mornings and evenings can be quite chilly but days in the spring can get up into the 70's and feel even warmer in the sun.  Terrain is uneven and flip flops don't cut it for walking property.  One walk through blackberry bushs or locust saplings with their thorns will demonstrate why long pants are a good idea!
