TRAFFIC ALERT for people planning to travel here from west or south of Knoxville!  At midnight on May 1, 2008, a short section of Interstate 40 between James White Parkway (exit 388A) and Hall of Fame Drive (exit 389) will be closed for approximately 14 months for reconstruction.  Traffic will be rerouted using I-275 and I-640 (both of which are already heavily traveled) and will be a nightmare to get through.  There are several more scenic, less stressful, alternatives.
